FODS Easter Raffle - Friday 15th March 2024

The FODS group is busy once again organising an ‘Easter Raffle’ to raise money for school which will benefit all of your children.

On Friday 15 March 2024, children can once again come into school in their own clothes! The ‘fine’ for doing this is that they should bring into school with them a chocolate item which will be used to create a range of Easter hampers full of seasonal tasty treats and these will be raffled! Booklets of tickets for the draw will be sent home.

Counterfoils and money should be sent into school by Thursday 14 March 2024.

  • World Book Day - Thursday 7th March 2024

    Thu 07 Mar 2024

World Book Day 2024 will be on Thursday 7th March 2024. This is a great opportunity for children to share the joy of reading for pleasure.

As requested by our School Council, we would like to give children free choice to come to school dressed as a character from one of their favourite books or comic books. We would  also like the children to bring in the book which their character is from. It could be a character from one of the amazing free books you can buy with the World Book Day book token.

Today, your child will bring home a £1 book token. Use it to get a FREE book! Simply take it to your    nearest bookseller and swap it for a World Book Day £1 book OR get £1 off any book or audiobook costing £2.99 or more. You can find your nearest bookseller at worldbookday.com/participating-retailers

  • Mid-Year Reports

    Fri 01 Mar 2024

    Mid-Year Reports

You will receive a short, written report about your child on Friday 8 March 2024.

EYFS reports will include a short written commentary for each of the Prime areas.  When commenting about Personal, Social and Emotional Development and Communication and Language, teachers will include information about a pupil's behaviour and how they are generally in the school.

KS1 and KS2 reports will provide you with information about your child’s achievement in reading, writing, grammar, punctuation and spelling, and maths up to this point in the school year (a strength and an area for development). It will also provide an update         regarding your child’s behaviour and attendance and will contain a general comment from the teacher.

If you wish to discuss any issues within the report, you’ll be able to arrange a meeting with your child’s class teacher.
