Children will be given English based homework on a Monday; we will specify the date it is due in. We are trying to make homework more enjoyable for the children and therefore our homework might take the form of 'secret missions' or other exciting things to earn points. Thank you in advance for your support with this. Spellings and tables will be given out on a Friday and the children will be tested on the following Friday. Children are also expected to read every night. In class we are trying to promote a love for reading. We would love to see this reflected at home too, if you could put time aside to listen to your child read.

The more you learn, the more place you’ll go’ – Dr Seuss
