'Wellbeing of Mind and Body' Theme Week
Monday 18 - Friday 22 June
Our theme week this year is all focused on ‘wellbeing of mind and body’. We have arranged a whole host of fun and interesting activities over the course of the week. Some examples of the sessions are: Smoothie Bike, Science Dome, orienteering and First Aid.
The children will also be focusing all their work in class around this theme too. Through the work carried out during this week, we are hoping to promote the importance of a healthy mind and body and provide the children with advice to help them to achieve this.
On Wednesday 20 June, we’d like to invite you all to get involved in our Aintree Davenhill Walkathon. It will start at 3:30pm and each family will be given a pedometer to calculate how many steps you can do walking laps around our carefully prepared route!! We’d love for you all to join us!
We also have a charity event on Friday 22 June to support the British Heart Foundation. The children will be taking part in a skipathon to support the charity. We would be grateful if the children could bring in a small donation on the day.
Also on Friday 22 June, we are going to be giving the children a chance to use their bikes and scooters on our cycle track. KS1 bikes should be put in the cage on the KS1 playground and KS2 bikes should be put in the cages in the KS2 playground on the morning they are brought into school. Please make sure that your child has a helmet to wear in order to take part in the session.
