Anti-Bullying Week 2015: November 16th – 20th. ‘Make a Noise about bullying’
As part of our work to develop all children’s social, emotional and behavioural skills, we are holding a special focus time when we will be thinking about issues associated with bullying to help make bullying unacceptable.
I would like to emphasise that this is not because we have any more bullying than any other school. It is a planned part of the PSHE curriculum and programme that takes place every year at this time to coincide with National Anti-Bullying Week.
Lessons during this week will have a focus on helping pupils to develop the skills, understanding and confidence to recognise and act when they see or experience bullying. The lessons will be varied and involve the children in many fun activities linked to the anti-bullying theme.
To further raise awareness of Anti-Bullying Week we will be asking children to wear blue on Friday 20th November. This is an awareness raising day, not a fund raising day and we really encourage all children to take part.
