Aintree Davenhill wins Maghull in Bloom

MADCOS  Gardening Competition

We were delighted to be informed that we had won the Maghull and District Cluster of Schools, gardening competition.

As you will be aware, the children have gardening lessons at various points during the school year and are becoming knowledgeable about plants and growing. Miss Rogers, our gardening teacher has made great use of the poly-tunnel and all the growing areas so that we now have fresh vegetables and fruit in abundance.

Miss Rogers spoke highly of the children who were picked to talk to the judges about the work they had been doing. Our prize is £50 plus a trophy which will be presented to the school in the Autumn term.

Congratulations and thank you to Miss Rogers and the children for their successful efforts.
