Here at Aintree Davenhill Primary School, children are taught Spanish in Years 3-6 by a Spanish specialist.
Our aims of these sessions are for children to:
develop a positive attitude towards language learning through a range of learning activities.
increase their cultural awareness by learning about different countries and their people
use their knowledge with growing confidence and competence to understand what they hear and read
become aware that language has a structure, and that this structure differs from one language to another;
form a sound basis for further study at key stage 3 and beyond.
The Spanish teacher also runs a club for children in KS2 each week.
