We aim to deliver financial education through all areas of the curriculum including maths, PSHE, topic work, specific financial education lessons and enterprising events and activities. Our pupils are equipped with a wide range of financial knowledge, skills and attitudes which will improve their future financial choices and circumstances.
Aintree Davenhill Primary has been recognised as a Centre of Excellence in financial education, after taking part in a ground-breaking national programme run by Young Enterprise and global information services company Experian©.
The school worked with education specialists to create a tailored financial education programme to help pupils gain the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to manage their money. Teachers and staff at the school have been trained to deliver effective and engaging lessons in personal finance and money management.
The school is proud of our enterprise achievements having been awarded the National Standard for Enterprise Education. The children get many opportunities to develop enterprise skills and self-confidence through group work, planning together and through the practical application of key skills such as negotiation, decision making and problem solving.
