Community and Rights Respecting

COMMUNITY AND RIGHTS RESPECTING AT AINTREE DAVENHILL PRIMARY SCHOOL

At Aintree Davenhill we have always prided ourselves on being a caring community school. Our families have a long history of involvement with Aintree Davenhill and there is a mutal relationship between the school and the community it serves. As a result we have chosen 'Community' as a strong driver of our curriculum and school ethos. At Aintree Davenhill we respect every member of the school community, the pupils, the staff, the parents and also the local, national and international community. Rights Respecting has a high profile in all aspects of school life and all the interconnecting relationships involved. We value pupil voice, we respect each others views and opinions. We accept that everyone is unique and has special qualities. We allow pupils time to develop as individuals ready to go out into a complex and ever changing world. We follow the UNICEF convention on the Rights of every child. They understand that all children throughout the world have rights, and that adults should do their best to support them. Our behaviour team, our school council and all members of the school community firmly believe that an environment where everyone is respected and valued, is the environment best suited to learning, nurturing and growth.
